Betis toe-to-toe with Madrid in the first half without Canales and Fekir is a good sign, but they need to score soon before Madrid pulls their usual late bullshit. If Betis can get/stay healthy (Juanmi, Fekir, Canales) and stop getting stupid cards, they can make another run for top four, while 5th / Europa League should be considered another successful season. Copa del Rey or Supercopa would be gravy, but not if it drops them below 5th.

Henrique has come a long way and has to stay in the XI, while Edgar is developing nicely as a comfortable CB3; my biggest concern would be replacing Moreno. 😢

Typically frustrating first half for a still out of sync Betis. First two goals were both lucky, but Rayo arguably deserved theirs and were running them ragged most of the half. Henrique's moment of brilliance shifted the momentum a bit (what a player he's developing into!) but they're going to have to change something in the second half to stay on top.
