Today is a special day because, (as best I can tell), today is the day that Alyson Claire Law turns two!

Lastly, arbitration agreements still cannot be unconscionable, so you have to include various procedural protections within them for them to be valid.

So if you (or an employer you know) needs an arbitration agreement review or update (because you need to clearly identify whether an arbitration agreement is governed by the FAA for Viking River and Bonta to apply or you default to the CAA) send them to #AlysonClaireLaw and we'll get it sorted.

Monday: I have an initial phone call with a new litigation client who says I come highly recommended.

Tuesday: I sign said new litigation client.

Wednesday: I get opposing counsel to agree to a tentative settlement of the dispute without filing any legal documents.

The Duty of Loyalty means we should all try to resolve things without running up bills- but I know a lot of attorneys who would have tried talking to the other side way later in the game.

Amongst my meetings today- one is an event for #owntrail.
That online community has gone through a few iterations since I joined, but I know that without it, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
In their original #trailguides cohort I developed my idea for #fractionalgeneralcounsel work and found the support I needed to take the leap and open up #AlysonClaireLaw. And without other community members I would have never gotten involved with #JusAdAstra and the #spacelaw community.
Community first.
