ASUS Prime B650-PLUS was bricked shortly after a UEFI update. It was unstable after booting and failed to load the kernel. Changed memory settings to conservative ones and tried again, which worked, but after next reboot it didn't boot up again and CMOS reset, etc. all failed.

It's an exciting day when new astro gear shows up, and I've been having more than my fair share of that lately. A brand new ZWO AM5 strain-wave gear mount showed up on my porch today. It has the same carrying capacity as my EQ6-R pro but weighs 1/5th as much. Perfect for a life on the road. I got it all set up in NINA and ready to go. Cautious not to jump into #AMD #am5 socket yet. Don’t want to be a beta tester and do I *need* an upgrade now? Telling myself that as I am shopping around for prices.

After the #Computex #AMD announcements, it looks like I'll be skipping another generation of #Ryzen for my "new computer" waiting for better HW, since the announced Ryzen 7000 series specs look amazing.

If the #am5 is going to last as long as the #am4 did, it makes sense to "jump in" early and then have an uprade path towards the end of its lifetime, with many generations of improvements in between.
