The first #Amabie article in 2020 focused on historical connections to the production of woodblock prints in #Edo #Japan, how the return of #Amabie gathered momentum from social media. I started working on it in May by first painting my ow interpretation of the #mermaid -like creature. My watercolour opens the article. As an #introduction: during the #pandemic I explored via #art and #netnography the #Amabie phenomenon that from Japan spread globally. It resulted in two articles and making some discoveries about how much #creativity needs to be taken seriously in academia.
