Back to assembly. I do hope that this works. The needle has a slight burr I would like to get rid of, because it's otherwise in good condition, and I inherited it from my grandmother..

Ok, so I've added the ribbon border. It will now need some jiggling to ease it into place before I attach it to the velvet stele.

I definitely didn't like the raised gold presentation; I wonder whether I'll find the ribbon frame a happier sight?

I'm still trying to work out how to present the #AmarnaRoyalFamily successfully. My first idea didn't quite work, so I'm trying a new way to help the #embroidery settle into the mount. Three satin ribbons held together down one edge - so I have to sew them together first.
