So...I'm working on Chapter 9 of my new novel and my MC Jason is doing a guided walking tour of Soho (London) in search of clues. He's arrived at #39 Gerrard Street, the home of the first Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club before it moved to Frith St. It's a bit of a pilgrimage for Jason as he's got a residency at the Blue Devil, over on Wardour Street, which was inspired by Ronnie Scott's. #jasondaveymysteries #amateursleuth #musicalmystery #writing #mysteries

1. Writing procedural whodunnit style stuff is way harder than thrillers.
2. I'm loving all the grisly crime research. Does that make me weird?
3. It's set partly in a Childrens Hospice, so I can shine some light on what goes on it there (guarantee its not what you think).
4. My protag Cady Grey is kind of an adult cipher for my daughter who is 14 yo wheelchair user and non-verbal.
5. Cady Grey is 18 and very verbal!
