I see things like this police blotter entry about an #AmazonScam in my local paper, and I think "okay, I've been using computers since the early 80s, and I would never fall for that kind of stuff." But the real question is, what will there be in 10 or 20 years that I will fall for because I won't understand?
@eiseverything (on twitter):
"I love it when you can "buy" a Kindle book for free, except it wasn't free. It was the table of contents followed by a link to purchase it elsewhere."
The publisher/seller seems to be 'classicsbookstore'; their email is classicsbookstore1@gmail
Amazing. - I have written several 'customer reviews' on #Amazon - They need to be approved by Amazon to be listed. Some of them, detailed reviewsĀ of an article I actually bought , were rejected because of vague reasons. - I noticed a listing for a portable data storage device that had all the usualĀ hallmarksĀ of a scam listing. - There is no button to report it. So I wrote a 'review' to send that way a signal to Amazon. - They just approve it and that is it. #amazonscam #scam
