My first impression was that this sounds antiquated, and indeed, the latter has become far more frequent over time in American #literature (https://books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=what+say+we%2Cwhat+do+you+say+we&year_start=1800&year_end=2019&corpus=en-US-2019&smoothing=3).
