Currently a bit obsessed with Charles Olson's Maximus Poems which I found through reading Guy Davenport (who is also a delight and whose Death of Picasso keeps coming to my mind out of the blue). I think the rest of 2023 and 2024 will be the Year for Deep Reading of Maximus. Crack open a new notebook, etc.

I asked ChatGPT: 'What is Robert Frost's The Silken Tent about?'

This is what it came up with. Basic, flawed interpretation. No mention of Kay Morrison, A Witness Tree or the personal nature of this verse. A quick Google delivers more than this.

Literature teachers can sleep well at night if this is what AI is churning out. It'll be obvious who's gaming their work for grades.
