@StillIRise1963 #AmericanHeartAssociation national conference in something like 2006 is the last time I entered that state. #AmericanThoracicSociety is scheduled there (Orlando) in 2026 I think and they're on notice from a bunch of members that we will not attend in person.

@kaminenmosher the harvest window here is about two days long since you need the polen/terpenes but the point of the flower is to spread it everywhere!

Yeah I've thought seriously about dumping #ATS #AmericanThoracicSociety for #ERS but it's my service org for promotion and it sops up ALL of my travel funding. ERS would cost just as much but the meetings are in such nice places! We'll see if I manage to make Associate Prof though!

@egonw @ORCID_Org hey #ATS #AmericanThoracicSociety, could we talk about free memberships for people who attend the conference?

Also I wish that Orcid and SciENvcv would have a conversation about my bibliography!

@TindrasGrove @hacks4pancakes my primary affiliation as an epidemiologist is #AmericanThoracicSociety and their conference is around 17,000 attendees, they schedule out 6 years minimum, insure the meeting to the tune of quite a few millions and it costs a few million to change a venue because of contracts.
#ATS members are holding the orgs feet to the fire over an upcoming Orlando meeting though, three years out and we've told them to change or lose 50% attendence.

It looks like most of the #Cannabis talks at #AmericanThoracicSociety are tomorrow, excellent news as I'm sitting in my hotel room in #DC scheduling them all into my app! Are any of you at #ATS this year?

Whoops, I was going to write up this analysis of #CT and #Spirometric effects of #THC and #THCMetabolites in 5000 people but I'm also looking at a hell of a set of shows on #HLN #ForensicFiles. Hmmmmmmm
