Labor Laws in Japan make it very difficult to fire people. Termination is assumed to be unjustified unless the company can prove the employee committed crimes or just never showed up for work. If the company is bankrupt that is also an acceptable reason. If the company is still on it's feet, there is no excuse for dismissing employees. Wrongfully fired employees can file paperwork with the unemployment agency and can get paid a year or two of wages as compensation. If a Japanese company in Japan wants to dismiss you, they negotiate a resignation with you and often pay several months of wages as compensation. This keeps unemployment rates very low.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2022/11/13/private-equity-firms-takeover-health-care/8294483001/ I been watching for two weeks after my mother in law broke both femur. It means lack of care and compassion. We need to get private money out of healthcare. Our shithole government won't won't do anything because they are profiting of our pain and sickness. What's our next move? #health #healthcare #greed #america #merica #americasucks

Last night, my son across the country was locked down in a hotel in Hood River, OR due to a police standoff. He had to stay hidden for hours and listen to gunfire and hope for the best, there wasn't a damn thing I could do but call him.
I've never felt so helpless and scared. I hate this country.
