Well, that didn't take long, as I figured out how to make my A500+A590 dual boot. Hold a button and it will soft-kick and boot into 3.1 :)

@metin playing on the analogue pocket with a dpad is not recommended. I first played #marblemadness on my trusty #amiga500 :amiga500: too, and I remember it being different. Time to figure out how to run amiga games on the pocket.

@janbeta I will give it a try, that seems amazing. Does it run fine on an #amiga500 ? Mine has two disk drives and a 512KB internal expansion. I have a double Kickstarter ROM, I can choose between 1.3 and 2.0. Do I need a hard disk?

Also, don’t let me down #RetroComputing fediverse. What’s the best/cheapest way to get an #Amiga to HDMI converter? I know of the pi zero way (have that going for other cases) but I need one this #Amiga500 and the #Amiga1200 (the 1940 only accepts 230/240 volt 50hz I’m afraid:/ and the fancy internal solution is over $200 and scary).

Check out that battery folks! Think this #Amiga extra memory board still works? Time will tell, I’ve cleaned it off but haven’t yet desoldered the battery away. Need to clear a lot of space for that:(

Well that sucks. Just got round to trying the #amiga500 I bought and the powerpack seems to be dead.

Ive tested all the pins in the power socket and im getting 0 volts on the old multimeter.

I was going to open the powerpack but it is one of the models that does not have screws. Anyone got tios on popping.it.open with least chance of breaking the case? Or tips or advice to what it could be.

I can always get another on auction site, but sad i cant get to use it now.

My #amiga500 box is in ok condition for its age, smells a bit musty, a tear to the back and discolouring inside but all the foam on the side is intact and all 3 poly inserts are complete. Ones a little cracked but still completely intact

The #amiga hardware is very very discoloured. And there is a craxk across the top of del / help keys

Tge trapdoor is solid and intact as is the left expansion port cover.

Looks like Mouse roller havent been cleaned since the 90s. Power pack casing is intact
