Balls of whelk eggs are mini ecosystems. You can find all sorts living inside! I’ve found amphipods, porcelain crabs and brittle stars. Just remember to put things back where you found them.

There were lots of Amphipods at #westruntonrockpools this week. All different sizes! I didn’t bring any home to ID (quite honestly IDing amphipods is bloody frustrating!) so I’ve no idea on species!
