On the last lap of cleaning, and was listening to Gerry D's radio programme on which an elder was talking about how Marcus Garvey's work changed his life.

The discussion segued to Amy Jacques Garvey and her powerful impact on Garvey. She was born on December 31, 1895, and a building will be named after her to honour her tomorrow.

I eagerly await the day when Marcus Garvey's works become a part of Jamaica's school curricula.
