What a rough week!
I had a nerve #ablation intervention 2 weeks ago.
Initial indications, if the effect of the local #anaesthetic were anything to by?
Were great, unfortunately?
The relief didn't last and when the anaesthetic wore off?
The pain ramped back up.
I am finding myself more and more reliant on #painkillers to function and it's a miserable existence.
My family are bloody martyrs for putting up with my grumpiness as well as they do.

I feel down a rabbit hole reading about #ADHD and #pain perception, particularly that people with ADHD are:
• more likely to experience a chronic pain disorder
• feel pain differently/more intensely than neurotypical people
• often have unusual side effects to pain #medication and/or #anaesthetic.

If you have ADHD (self dx valid too) and you feel comfortable sharing, do you have experience with any of the above?

Being an #anaesthetic registrar is mostly amazing & rewarding. I do wonder if folk have a good idea of what anaesthetists do. With a looming strike & implications that all NHS staff need to work ‘harder’ let’s just run through some things we do. Do please add your experiences too
