Got Marc Riley's #AnagramSam. Got it with the third clue. Only then did I get what the first two clues meant. Would be surprised if there's not loads of right answers.
Btw, if anyone's playing Marc Riley's #AnagramSam today, it's another ultra easy one. Maybe the easiest every. So he'll have loads of right answers. So, once again, my getting it right doesn't mean he'll read my name out. But that's not why I listen. He's already read it out more than I expected, but that was back in the good old days when I got it right more often than not.
I'm pretty sure I've got today's #AnagramSam right. Won't spoil other people's fun by posting what I think it is. But it looks like the right letters, and the clues fit too. Not my favorite song though. Not a fan of the band. Surprised #MarcRiley gives them the time of day to be honest.
Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Pink Floyd's first LP. Reading out some of those who got it right. Not read mine yet. And the list is over. Oh well. Probably be years before I get #AnagramSam right again. Still that's not why I listen to this program. I do so for the music, chat, exchanges with Gideon Coe, up to date news such as the passing of Tom Verlaine as well as less depressing news. God bless Marc Riley.
Not sure if I'm imagining this or not, but having started today's show with a tribute to Tom Verlaine's Television and Marquee Moon, there seems to be a very high proportion of older music compared to what he usually plays. Not complaining as I love all the records he's played today. So many classics. So many of my favorite bands/artists. I also got #AnagramSam right today for the first time in a long time. Won't spoil it by telling other listeners what it is. It is a very easy one, imho.
Feels like it's been months since I got either of Marc Riley's daily quizzes right. The best explanation I can come up with is that months of participation in #AnagramSam and Who is on Marc's tee-shirt has exhausted my lifetime's supply of IQ points. So I've turned into an idiot.
