Todays ambrotype will preserve a memory of my cherry tree. I have so many wonderful memories with that tree since I was a little kid. Now I have to say goodbye, because the recent years hit hard on it. I explain everything in my video ( youtu.be/9sL7XgjTSZo ) and on my blog ( blog.mhaustria.com ).It's a story of a new beginning and an end. In the video you can see how beautiful a 12x16" ambrotype can be.

While spraypainting the inside of my camera black, the heater ignited the gasses and they exploded. I lost my eyelashes and the hair on my hands and arms, but did not get wounded. The respirator protected my beard.
Still, the hardest partnis figuring out how to make the door for the trays with chemicals and the trunk to put my hand in. Once that is done, I need to make a tripod mount.

Red tulips directly on photographic paper. Paper is orthochromatic (red light safe) so the tulips end up black.
