But in practice rather than abolishing the police, in the US it seems to have made everyone a police officer / vigilante.

I dont know how people use mental gymnastics to justify that as anti authoritarian.

Also in theory people know youtubers arent legal advice. But Ive known way to many that take lefttube way to seriously.

When George Orwell started dobbing in "communists" and "fellowtravellers" to the UK authorities later in life, it wasn't because he'd stopped supporting the left. He hadn't even given up on the ideals of communism. Ideals that had led him to join the UK communist party, and then travel to Spain to defend the socialist revolution from Franco's fascists, fighting with the POUM, shoulder to shoulder with Trotskyists and anarchists.

In the post-political age, #anarchists have to start thinking post-political. Otherwise they are doomed to decay like state communists.

For some reason, people seem to avoid this question about apologizing. Too painful? Too obvious?

I met multiple #anarchists who do not apologize. One said the concept of guilt is problematic. Others think they can't be wrong. Again others say only the system and/or the community is to blame.

While some of this is partly true, having no concept of #CommunityAccountability is no solution either.
