So I chose the name Siin because it came to me, with no other specific reasoning behind it.
Then I encountered the prophetic Nona Marie this weekend and she told me I'm named after a Sumerian (pre-Sumerian?) goddess of agriculture who was well-loved but whose name was then turned into the modern "sin" as in sinful, bad, etc as more patriarchal societies took power in the region.

Anyone know anything about this? Or have any resources they can point me to so I can do some of my own digging/verification?
