Seriously, #Aristophanes' Clouds, written in 423 BC, has a scene where the moon herself launches an official complaint against the Athenian Assembly over how they're screwing around with the lengths of the months for their own convenience, so that civil time is completely divorced from astronomical time. The play favours the moon.
