While I'm thinking about Dickens miniseries adaptations, I really liked the BBC's "Little Dorrit," starring Claire Foy and Matthew MacFayden, now both big stars but I'm not sure either was when they made this. (Also, Andy Serkis as a villain, very scary, and many other arresting performances.)
