I had an interesting situation recently where someone I know asked me to help with an issue on their phone. They had random adds popping up all the time even while we’re using different apps. Rebooting didn’t fix this, nor did disabling all push notifications from all apps. We checked for any unknown apps and ran both Sophos and the Mcaffee already installed on the phone. Doing a backup and factory reset solved it. While I know very little about android I do know it’s designed to be fairly secure by default, so I’m hoping someone can help me with some insight into how this works. For background it was an older Samsung running Android 9, and he had at some point installed an APK via direct download. #androidmalware

Why am I seeing this #virus like behaviour only on your bio link, not any other links I click? As far as I can tell from checking out the RickRoll / RickDotTroll virus this doesn't affect #Android or does it? Very puzzling.
