Parfois je vois des gens partager leur chaîne sur peertube et ça a l'air très chouette mais j'ai pas l'impression qu'il y ait d'application pour ? Et on peut pas caster la vidéo sur un Chromecast ou la regarder sur un AndroidTV ?

#Android TV is absolute garbage. Even when you pay for a product, you're STILL the product with #Google.

(For anyone who might not have used #AndroidTV in a while, that "Free Live TV" is a newer section that you can't remove. And the bottom boxes are basically giant "add more things to your home screen!" notices.)

Uso TVs com #AndroidTV (3 TCLs e 1 Xiaomi Mi Box), então o que posso dizer sobre jogos é que o sistema #Android é o mesmo, o que muda é a interface. Significa que você joga em TV com as pessoas que usam #AndroidMobile e vice-versa. Mais difícil é achar jogos apk que funcionam direitinho em TV, mas quando funciona, é assim que acontece.

Aha; it seems that #PLEX supports third-party #HDR tone mapping to #SDR online in the #PlexPass.

So the issue was probably not that #PLEX doesn't support tone mapping, but that #Roku doesn't support tone mapping natively. #AndroidTV / #GoogleTV must support it natively, so it did it on its own once it received the video content.

I've been gently working on the spouse to convince them to let me get some #HomeAutomation hardware with the shared house budget instead of my allowance, and they're slowly becoming more open to the idea, especially if I can set up the TV in the bedroom to act as an alarm clock.

So I looked into whether I can install a custom #AndroidTV rom on the unused Firestick the previous owners left attached to that TV.

No dice. It seems slightly weird to me that only custom phone roms out there. 😾

Soo, is there any #PeerTube app for #AndroidTV? I'd love to watch more videos on Peertube instead of Youtube, and I can use Peertube in browser on PC and phone, but on my Android TV it would of course be nice to have an app that works well with the remote.

Also, I know #NewPipe supports Peertube, not sure if it's also on AndroidTV, but I think it does not allow actually logging in? And I'd love to log in with my account to see and manage my channel subscriptions. 🙂
