If you saw any of the early police reports about the #MassShooting in #Louisville or the aftermath press conference yesterday, you may have noticed officials wouldn't identify the weapon beyond calling it a rifle (turns out it was an AR-15) — and they used this bizarre euphemism of "active aggressor" to avoid saying "shooter." Even with #Kentucky governor #AndyBeshear losing friends in the bank, they stuck to their weird script. Guess this is the new normal, pretend an amorphous "evil" spirit swept in and killed people, not a shooter with an assault rifle.
