UK gaat uit elkaar, en hij vormt met andere ex-zappa bandleden #MissingPersons, waaronder zijn vrouw Dale.
In 1986 stopt de band, en start in de solo band van #AndyTaylor ex #DuranDuran

Pues hoy he visto una entrevista al grupo por la revista #NME y me he quedado de piedra al ver que el antiguo guitarrista, #AndyTaylor, tiene cáncer de próstata. Lo anunciaron en diciembre, pero me perdí ese momento.

También he salido reventado del curro y llevo un rato plof, así que no podría perdonarme el no poner el único disco (de momento) que tengo de Duran Duran con Andy a la guitarra. También tengo el de #PowerStation, pero ojo con este, el #LP que les confirmó como un grupo muy a tener en cuenta allá por 1982.

Le costó llegar a los primeros puestos y tienen algún disco que ha llegado a vender más, pero Rio es el que realmente les define. Tanto es así que es de los que Tom Cruise salva en la peli #Oblivion y hasta tienen el single en la gramola del bar de #Moe.

Esta edición es el segundo disco más valioso de mi colección, según #Discogs. Se trata de un doble LP muy original: el primero es el disco que salió en #UK y que no terminó de despegar en #EEUU, mientras que el segundo es la cara A de la edición estadounidense, que fue remezclada para darle un poco más de caña y acercarlo al estilo que gustaba allí. De este modo, puedes escuchar la edición de uno u otro país, según combines las diferentes caras.

Ahora me estoy poniendo la edición inglesa, que fue la primera que escuché cuando mi hermano se compró el CD, pero mi favorita es la americana, sobre todo en #LonelyInYourNightmare, que es más larga.

Former #DuranDuran guitarist #AndyTaylor will be returning to the group for a “meaningful” new album due to arrive at the end of the year.

The 62-year-old musician, who left the group back in 2006, announced last November during the band’s #Rock Hall induction that he’d been battling stage 4 #ProstateCancer for five years.
