Good morning from #Pasadena. 🌤️ & 31°c (88°F) today. So far not much cooling despite clouds. ☁️ came w increased humidity so it’s still getting very hot by afternoon. Off to do a bit of gardening and visiting with Andy (#AndyTheTortoise) while still cool, while Frida & Moses rest after the dog park and Finn rests too (because he’s 15 yo.) Have a great week.

Good morning fr #Pasadena 🌻 This spider attached itself to the garbage bin lid and the tree over my neighbour’s driveway 🤔 Was up early (4am) to beat the heat. Been to the dog park with Moses. Now washing produce and making Andy’s (#AndyTheTortoise).
☀️ & 21°c (70°F) atm but seasonally hot l8r with a hi off 32°c (90°F) but I’m predicting 35°F (95°F) - it’s amazing people don’t bet on weather! Happy Sunday.

@hosford42 I eat a LOT of romaine as I prepare #AndyTheTortoise's food daily for about 6-7 months/year and the bitterness vary greatly. Some romaines are bitter others are ultra sweet I find. Andy prefers outer leaves which tend to be more better, while we prefer inner ones. A match made in heaven. He doesn't like the ribs, but I do, so I eat them before I chop up his food :) @gorfram @doktormod @tickytacky

I just gave him his brunch already & just before that 20 🌺 so he doesn’t need the plants this second but it’d be nice if they got going sooner rather than later.

Good morning from #Pasadena. 🌞 & 30°c (86°F) & although only 23°c (73°c) it’s warming up really fast. Very good days for double #Hibiscus 🌺 this morning: 15 from only 2 small bushes. More single flowers too on a couple other bushes. Must be the watering! Clip: 102 y-o #AndyTheTortoise having the first course of his breakfast. If you have the sound on you should be able to hear crunching. Also look carefully up close and you might get a quick glimpse at his big pink tongue 👅 #GopherusAgassizii

Good Morning fr #Pasadena. 🌤️ & 24ºc (75ºF) today. Hoping there is a bit of a breeze because the sun is hot this time of year and I must work outside & at least some of the time in the sun. But otherwise, it's a perfect early Summer day, much cooler than normal.

Next week I was supposed to bring #AndyTheTortoise to my HB's church for kids camp. I canceled and one of the main reasons is that most no longer mask at the church, this will be indoors (though since I've been told I could do it outdoors) & I'm sick of going to events and be the only person who still masks. I am also super busy this coming week & thought it wasn't until the following. Plus I'm not religious in the least possible way. I think my time is better spent on my house.

#AndyTheTortoise enjoying the sunshine today. I think the temperature went up to 29c (84ºF) today. I hate Summer in Southern California, but I'm afraid it will arrive regardless even though it's been slow coming.I cannot wait till it ends again, or even till we're well into Autumn, like November.

#AndyTheTortoise has scratches on his back. This means he likely accidentally fell onto his back, mostly likely from trying to climb where he shouldn’t… But contrary to popular belief #Tortoises can flip themselves back so long they are not in a life threatening situation such as hunted by a predator or in hot sun. It can take time but so long as they can find something to push against they often flip themselves back onto their feet eventually. 👍 #GopherusAgassizii aka #CaliforniaDesertTortoise

With only 17°c ) 63°F & no 🌞 I’m not sure #AndyTheTortoise will be eating but here he is lounging in UV (though he might be in the shade - I can’t see UV like him)

Good Morning fr #Pasadena. Just finished icing my back, feeling good and planning on doing some gardening today. But first, must get the garbage/recycling ready and get the bins out. Then walk the dogs (or Moses at least). Must also get produce for #AndyTheTortoise. As always, it's going to be a busy day.
