Great Albums - 1970s: #ELO – #ANewWorldRecord (1976). But if you really want to keep your cellos safe, sell more records than all the other bands to fans less likely to riot because you use strings – or sing really softly behind beetlesque sunglasses. I know Out of the Blue is supposed to be the masterpiece, but ELO’s singles are where it’s at, and there’s three big glossy ones on this LP, including a nice throwback to Jeff Lynne’s time in The Move.
