BUSTED! Next episode of #AngelNextDoor should be… interesting. 😂

That was a good episode overall, and it’s becoming clearer with every episode that Mahiru’s family situation is AWFUL, possibly bordering on abusive.

The slow build of the relationship, that neither Mahiru nor Amane are admitting to yet, is being handled well with some strong character work.

It’s that slowly building trust that has enabled Mahiru to relax enough to let some things slip to Amane. Whether he’s oblivious to the implications or deliberately ignoring the clues because he doesn’t want to upset Mahiru remains to be seen.

Amane’s mother is TERRIFYING. I think Yukari’s mother in #RocketGIrls still holds the record for the most terrifying mother in anime, but Shihoku in #AngelNextDoor has just made a strong debut.

Time for some morning anime before heading out to #CanCon to run #RuneQuest. First up, hmmm, let’s go with the #AngelNextDoor Spoils Me Rotten.

#AngelNextDoor ep 2 was also good, some good character work and more hints that Mahiru does NOT come from a happy family background. Whether Amane has picked up on that yet is another question.

#AngelNextDoor looks interesting. Some solid characterisations, and a tight focus on the two leads.

There’s one sequel, S2 of The Misfit of Demon King Academy but I’ll leave that til later. I’ll start with The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten. #AngelNextDoor for want of a better hashtag.
