Thanks for sharing! When I lived in #Delhi, I would attend here for big holidays like Easter and Christmas. It was the closest thing I had to a home parish in #India. Brings back some nice memories.

Personally, I have always thought #Anglicanism is neither fully Protestant or Catholic. It sits in the middle and is often called the Via Media.

A main point from when I was teaching religious studies (a secular subject) is that religions contain within them many traditions that become activated depending on the moment.

It is really hard to say "All Catholics / Protestants have done this since time immemorial." The traditions are really far too diverse.

@daveboy Well technically _we_ don't have them, as all of this nonsense was one of the things that Protestantism was against, centuries ago.

The current official state religion of the U.K. got rid of intercession of saints in 1563. If _we_ includes various forms of Protestantism, and all of the non-Christians around, then we don't have intercessory saints.

The willingness of many Christians today to split churches over their determation to make LGBTQ people pariahs is a wonder to behold — when Jesus had not a single word to say about homosexuality.
