Do you 'chalk your door' and, if so, what prayer of blessing do you use?

One of my #Advent projects has been creating an English and #Latin bilingual version of the #DailyOffice (including the #Psalter) from the #Episcopal Church's 1979 #BookOfCommonPrayer. A Latin #BCP translation exists on the #Justus website, but it needed quite a bit of reformatting before it could be used side-by-side with the standard #TEC BCP. I also found and cleaned up a number of nits. Any other #Episcopalians or #Anglicans interested in such a devotional resource? 🤓

@tomcapuder @Artsy and some of us #religious are leaving the bird site because of just general nastiness over there. Mastodon seems a good place to start over. We #Anglicans live all of our lives (online and off) in the prayer book and in Scripture. Feel free to block, mute, or whatever if you don’t like it, but your intro claims you are looking for conversation, not policing others use of socials.

I'm not in the least religious. I have no connection to the Church of England.

However, I find the idea of having a thanksgiving service for nuclear weapons not only bizarre but abhorrent. It normalises the military–industrial complex & the hegemony of the nuclear states.

In short: I am incredulous that the C of E are having this service.
