He adopted the stage name #AngusScrimm as the unforgettable, indestructible (and 6 foot 4) mortician Jebediah Morningside, a.k.a. #TheTallMan in Don Coscarelli's creepy, surreal #Phantasm (1979), reprising the role in four sequels between 1988 and 2016 while stealing scenes in various other genre films.

My brother introduced me to #Phantasn when I was a teenager. It was one of those rare films which kept me immersed in the storyline, frightened and thrilled at the same time. The name #AngusScrimm caused me to think the actor was almost as mysterious and terrifying as the ghoul he portrayed!
