I read a paper about #animanga and why students liked that more than other media.
One said that you're often shown two character choices, or two opposing viewpoinsts, but you're not told which is "right", so it makes you think.
Lain could have moved to the net, or stayed in the human world...

A free account on academia . edu will turn up all sorts of interesting #animanga papers. They'll claim that there's a paper that mentions your name to induce you to get a paid account, which can be pretty funny. No, I don't think I'm in a paper on Applied and Environmental Microbiology.

But they'll send you things like this:
