I wanted to see if I could make a drawing in Photoshop that looked like an original animation cel from the 1980s. I’d researched a little at how production artwork looked at that time, drawing a little from Disney films and the work of Don Bluth from the era, along with some of the better quality animated shows of the period. I used my OC, Romulus for this. I was quite pleased at how it turned out in the end.

Here's a model sheet from 1980s produced by the Bill Melendez Studio for the Charlie Brown series. Created to ensure consistency and charter continuity, this one's specially in relation to the colour palette used for the characters shown. Tempted to frame this one so it's clear on both sides, I quite like being able to see the painted side!
