An aerial view of our excavations at a 16th century Wendat-Anishnaabe village in the Kawartha Lakes, north of Toronto. Taken in 1977, as we finished up after one-and-a-half seasons of work. Outlines of some of the 20+ longhouses we discovered are visible as narrow trenches we excavated to trace their walls (visible as rows of dark post stains in the sand).

I've been a writer. An illustrator. A designer. An office worker in various capacities. A child. An uncle. A COVID survivor (so far).

And I am a citizen both of (as I currently understand it) and of the human race as a whole. I was born in territory, and I live on the territory of people.

Just signed and returned an exhibition contract with The Power Plant (Toronto) for four of my sculptures. “in parallel” will run from Feb 2 - May 14.
2023 already off to a good start. 👏🏽

@ABecenti Even though I'm a settler, I'm missing Indigenous voices too. I loved learning from the Indigenous tweeters. But I'm sure they will start appearing. I'm going to keep my eyes out.

Thought I’d share some of my own artworks as an introduction since I’m new on this platform. This piece was created in response to the ongoing mercury poisoning experienced by the community.
