The first of the Anisia were part of an ancient race of human-like peoples from the planet An near our galactic center. To defeat an ancient enemy, these people channeled the æther, the lifeblood of the universe, to the point of destruction.

But from their ashes rose beings of pure energy... and for millennia, they reigned as gods before disappearing into the stars for reasons of their own.
