Day 3 of enforced bedrest. Slightly better, in that aches, shivers have gone and sore throat and headache have improved. BUT still exhausted, breathless, coughing, no appetite, no sense of smell and everything tastes weird. Also pulled ribs hurt and my usual problems of hip/back/neck pain have worsened. It's NOT just a cold or .

After years of nothing but bad news, I get a little good news. I got accepted to the patient assistance program with Abbvie. They're covering my Humira. It's worth a mint. I have no choice with all these expensive autoimmune diseases I have. I lost insurance when COBRA ran out. So having Abbvie help is a big deal. It's the only way to afford expensive biologics when your insurance is iffy.

The shitty part about is being unable to sleep on my back because the pain makes it impossible šŸ˜©šŸ¤§ then I lose feeling my my left leg šŸ‘ or right, but mostly cause Iā€™m left dominant. Why did I end up with the worst outcomeā€¦.

My chronic illness has gotten significantly worse in 2022. I worked as a nanny until May when I found out we'd been chosen to adopt my daughter, now just under 6 months. I became immunocompromised due to a new med and I'm now on my third biologic of the year trying to find something that works. In the past 6 weeks or so I've been barely able to get out of bed. Caring for my daughter has mostly fallen to my husband and the grandparents, who I'm very lucky to have.
