The white building in the image is the original officer's quarters, which is now a museum.

Built circa 1760, this charming salt box style farmhouse began its long life as a farm. it was purchased by Robert Patterson who renamed & repurposed it as the North Hills Museum. Such colorful wall art decorates this wooden shed. Located on the wharf in the historic town of Annapolis Royal , each buoy or float plays an important role in the safety of what is a dangerous occupation.
