We hauled out my grandfather's apple wood stomper today and it gave me all the feels about why I love using vintage/antique and .

It's made from wood trimmed from trees on his , farm, and has been used for for several decades. He passed along his knowledge of how to make kraut and, when he died, my grandmother passed along his stomper.

Houston's Beach, Nova Scotia.
Known to us as 'Strawberry Beach'.
One day in October 2012, there were strawberries as far as the eye could see on this beach on the Bay of Fundy. No kidding. Wherever did they come from? There must have been a line of 1/2 km 18″ wide, of strawberries on the waterline. And that’s just the that we could see.
