#MagnumPI s1e9 (1981) - 9/10
Terrific episode. One of the highlights of the first season.

1️⃣ #JuneLockhart and #JoséFerrer are the guest stars, with #AnneLockhart and #MiguelFerrer playing the same characters in flashbacks. That alone makes it one of the most memorable instalments.

2️⃣ Doesn’t feel like a case-of-the-week, feels like you are being told a real story here. And the details are farmed out at different points, so you never really know where it is all going.

The climax, where he doesn’t even bother to show up for the arrest of the villain, is one of my favourite moments in the entire series. The script is full of great storytelling choices, and this one is the best.

5️⃣ #AnneLockhart doesn’t get enough to do, but she’s excellent in her scenes. Particularly the last few.
