The former Ascot Cinema, Anniesland, Glasgow.
This is one of Glasgow's lost neighbourhood cinemas. There used to be so many of these local cinemas in Glasgow in the 1930s that it was nicknamed Cinema City.
An Art Deco architectural gem, the Ascot opened in 1939 and screened its final film in 1975. It was partiallly demolished in 2001, with only the facade being retained.
