#AnslemKeifer at #Gagosian gallery, “Exodus”. Having not followed his work for some time, the outburst of metallic color in this show is one thing of a shock. I’m just not sure if the addition of so much #sculpture and #assemblage is enough to make this work as a #painting. It’s almost as if he’s tried to mash David Hammons and Cy Twombly together, and the collision has knocked their subtlety right off the wall…
