In a continued effort of making The Car™ look presentable. I decided to pay Kerb Appeal - Alloy Wheel Refurbishment and Repair to try and fix the 12 year old stock wheels. Their lead sales person did a very good job of offering me a very low price and recommending the Anthracite Grey colour.

I had my doubts, what with it being a light blue car, that the darker wheels wouldn't look right. They do, and they look damn good at it too.

#Anthracite is the hardest and cleanest-burning type of #coal. It’s also the most expensive, meaning it was usually reserved for home #stoves and #heating; not power generation. Because of its high heat content, it was formerly used in blast furnaces, but has been replaced by metallurgical coke which has greater room for oxygen penetration, which anthracite is too dense for. It is also hard to ignite.

There are also yellow, #sulfurous inclusions on the surface.

Anthracite is the hardest form of coal, and has been metamorphized by heat and pressure.
Anthracite is by far the cleanest-burning coal, with the fewest toxic inclusions like #mercury and #lead, and produces the least carbon monoxide when burned. Thus, it is highly desirable in coal #stoves in homes, making it far too expensive for electricity production.
