883 followers · 2760 posts · Server aus.socialI get that China has a SHITTY record on human rights, but hey.. if we're talking about surveillance states and you're not mentioning the Australian police using facial recognition without ANY accountability, or the NSW Police Force use of STMP (Suspect Target Management Plan - a predictive policing 'black list' that is meant to predict people becoming deviant and is literally 50% Indigenous people listed), then you might just be a racist.

Just before I got off, an old woman stood in front of my seat, looked me angrily in the eyes and said something. I couldn't hear what she was saying, but I managed to catch "one of those" and "rabies". We got off at the same stop. She kept turning around to look at me. I deliberately slowed down and took another exit. As always, when these things happen, you don't realise until afterwards. #Racism #AntiAsianRacism #StopAsianHate
