So one of my goals this year is to sell, donate, recycle ♻️, or throw away 1,000 items that I have in my house. Do I think I can get to 1000?
Absolutely. Will it make me sick seeing all of this excess and wasteful spending that i have managed to collect of the the last 20 years? Oh you bet I will.

My beard trimmer, for example.

I soldered a new #Battery in, cleaned the buildup of facial hair from the innards of the moving parts, and... brand new beard trimmer!

#Hallmark, as a company, is insanely wasteful. Multiple boxes of cards get thrown out every week at my local grocery store.

Look at all of the plastic, foil, these cardstock in there. I took these back in March when I was picking up a special order. At least a few boxes a week, just to keep the stock looking "fresh".

Almost two months since I last bought something online. Aiming for 3 months!

And my ordering food online has reduced too since I started doing some amount of cooking.

I hope that sometime in my life I'll be able to sustainably grow my own food and produce my own energy. Self-hosting my internet services was the first step, these are the next.
