@BylineTimes reports on some initial research that looked at those who were initially turned away & then did not return to actually vote (now with 'valid' ID):
16,201 voters across 53 council areas were turned away; 6,036 did not return to vote.
And, off course does not account for the chilling effect on those who did not even attend as the prospect of showing ID either confused or deterred them!
