So far I've gotten at least 2 messages from astute followers here who note the similarity between the antique Bolognese Al Soldato on the left & famed contemporary tarot artist Nigel Jackson's recent Rose Tarot.

Sometimes people think Nigel's card images are idiosyncratic or "wrong;" here's a fine example displaying that they are instead deeply informed by his profound knowledge of tarot history.

The 1639 Vachier tarot, our oldest so far discovered TdM, was auctioned yesterday in Paris for €50k, about US$54,235.
