That's a shitty ad for a shitty, #proprietary solution that doesn't even work for most people and depends on a #SingleVendor / #SingleProvider approach, which makes it incompatible with the #security and #dataprotection requirements I've to abide EVERYWHERE.
#Twingate is not a #VPN-Killer, it's not even a good replacement for #AnyDesk in that regard...

Has any Mastolander tried using #KasmVNC https://www.kasmweb.com/kasmvnc for accessing one of your PCs thru the browser of another PC? #RemoteAccess
I've read that page, tried the demo, read the github page, found a bin pkg for it in AUR... but still don't yet grasp HOW to use it.
My need is to access my #Fedora #KDE lappy from my #Arch #KDE tower [currently i use #AnyDesk, which is ok for Wayland tower to X11 lappy, but fails for Wayland lappy]. If that pkg goes on tower, wot about lappy?
🤷♀️

I was going to use #AnyDesk but they don't support #Wayland! #xRDP allows for creating new sessions but can't connect to existing sessions (opposite of new, built-in functionality).
imho, #VNC is getting old and clunky.
I'd consider #TeamViewer but they are quite expensive for the individual user.

Mir sind Klagen untergekommen, dass #AnyDesk vom Support und Vertrieb nicht mehr erreichbar sei. Lizenzen werden nicht verlängert oder Rechnungen kommen trotz Kündigung. Weiß wer, was da los ist.

Just tried to use #Wayland but found out I can't connect to it with #Anydesk nor does the #NightLight in #Gnome work.
Well, I guess I'll just have to wait =/

Gerade #Rustdesk, eine #Opensource Alternative für #Teamviewer unf #Anydesk probiert, klappt prima. Habe allerdings gelesen, dass Daten nach China gesendet werden... Chinesischer Developer... Bin unsicher
Villeicht sollte sich das @kuketzblog mal ansehen 🙏🏻

1) Salta internet in ufficio
2) #AnyDesk per solidarietà ci mette del suo
3) la licenza gratuita di #TeamViewer che dura come un gatto in tangenziale...

Replaced #AnyDesk with #NoMachine yesterday. It's unbelievable how much better it is for remoting into another machine.
Painless installation, no more random disconnects and most importantly and no more constantly being asked whether I am using it professionally (which I am not).
I've since seen that #AnyDesk have been working with #ScammerPayback to shut down the scam call center's access to the service, so maybe times are a changin'.
Allez...

Okay, so stop me if I'm wrong here, but this hack could have been avoided by enabling *any* of the security features included in the #RMM software - right? I mean, we use #AnyDesk in my company for remote global support - great platform, super solid, super affordable - anyway, we push out the software to our client machines with a password for our #helpdesk teams (no manual installation). For our more sensitive users (like myself and my team) we have a #2FA code that is also required to remote into said machine. Also, AnyDesk never gets installed on our servers.
So tell me then how a #Federal system (civilian or otherwise), where there are (generally, AFAIK) very strict guidelines in place for baseline configurations and such, doesn't have this set up correctly? Do their #sysadmins not know their systems in production? Is there too much red tape for a checkbox and a password? Feels like common sense is missing here, which is the least of our problems. https://www.scmagazine.com/analysis/threat-intelligence/2-federal-agencies-hacked-in-campaign-using-remote-monitoring-software?external_id=HBwZ-n4B490LDY0Z-dKj&external_id_source=mrkto&mkt_tok=MTg4LVVOWi02NjAAAAGJkdxEJhl-3e0-Hv4dyiaGOxdudhpg-GMhgKc7G9mCXF9tJMsID02nfSlAlqeYOHEx8jXcJQOa8EW_RKIrPHLPp3OLqcNcoRlaAI_3LdJ6Ew
