I just installed #AnySoftKeyboard for android, which has quite good support for swyping.

One less google/MS product I'm dependent on. Now they don't get to read my keyboard data.

Ich nutze meistens das #anySoftKeyboard. Das hat so wunderbar viele Konfigurationsmöglichkeiten und unterstützt (bei Bedarf) auch Funktionstasten.

I use #AnySoftKeyboard from #fdroid it's really good, despite it saying is experimental, sweeping to write a word works ok.

Maybe they should disable all the names in the dictionary, most are not what the writer wants. Of dunno if they can use context.. ie include placenames in map apps but not in chat..

L'une des rares applications à sources fermées que j'utilise (mais qui n'a aucune autorisation, ni accès au réseau)
Le seul moment où je passe sur #AnySoftKeyboard, c'est quand j'ai besoin de son layout SSH (pour les touches tab, slash, pipe, esc... accessibles directement)

I really want to like AnySoftKeyboard .
But..
- intermittent hangs (happend twice during typing this)
- the awkwardness around accessing punctuation and others special chars

is cancelling out the benefits for me.

Willing to accept at least partially the problem is me.
If you feel some commas might be missing here you are correct see point two above.

Guys, why does #anysoftkeyboard hate apostrophes? We're so well served with punctuation and symbols, but a simple apostrophe is so hard to find!

It seems, that the #AnySoftKeyboard isn't usable with #TalkBack on #Android.
Maybe, someone can confirm or test it?

Just discovered by chance that you can press Shift + Backspace on #AnySoftKeyboard to delete entire words. This is life-changing 🙃

(I have a swipe shortcut for that but works a bit sloppy.)

J’ai jamais trop comparé à d’autres.

Having returned from #safemode on my #android... I found that the keyboard is #GBoard again instead of the cool #AnySoftKeyboard.

I'm trying out #florisBoard and #anySoftKeyboard again because it feels like #gBoard gets worse every time it updates (I do not need GIFs in my keyboard).
But I still end up using it because there are just a few features that I can't live without!

Any other good #openSource #android keyboards out there? Preferably with swiping?

Did you know that you can download and install the #duckduckgo #privacy #browser from f-droid (https://f-droid.org)?
I also downloaded and installed today the #AnySoftKeyboard . It is a very friendly one. But for GIFs and stickers I use the browser, and can download them using my anysoft keyboard.

התקנתי על ה#אנדרואיד שלי דרך חנות ה#אפליקציות F-Droid (https://f-droid.com) את #מקלדת #AnySoftKeyboard. היא מעולה, רק שאין בה אפשרות להוסיף GIF ומדבקות, אבל אין דבר, אפשר לחפש ברשת ולבצע הורדה. בשביל #עברית הורדתי גם "חבילת הרחבה עברית" שתומכת ביכולת לנקד.

#askFedi Are there any #android #opensource (software) keyboards except for #aosp and #AnySoftKeyboard? I like the idea of ASK very much, but my #ADHD/#ADD/(Schrödingers) #Autism.tic ass start's to get tired with it's shortcomings.
My dictionary is full of typos, words which can be capitalized differently but the dict treats such as a different words, words ending with ":" (bug?), gestures are finicky.
And on top of that the last release is almost a year old.

@aismallard yep yep yep. I switched to #AnySoftKeyboard on Android (via F-Droid) because it allows customizing the keyboard way more and doesn't have the GIF nonsense. (Well also I didn't want to use a Google keyboard out of principle!)
