Just saw somebody say in an anti #ao3 rant „there is zero quality control“ and like ??? 🤢🤢🤢 I better fucking hope not!!!

(And if this person didn‘t mean this as „low quality fics aren‘t being deleted“ but as „things that are against the ToS are not dealt with“…. That‘s just not actually true

(I really do not miss the times when you had to scrounge for fics on 200 different sites that were being deleted without warning, and where you had to pray that the amount of smut you put in your fics was small enough that the admins wouldn‘t just delete the whole thing comments and all, sorry…)

Is anyone else getting errors when trying to access #AO3?

I’ve just posted the first part of a new fic and was about to share it and now I keep getting this, so I can’t get the link to the fic 😢

Oh boy, seems like something is happening to #AO3 again.

I spent part of today fixing up my #Dreamwidth page because I want to post fics there first, and than maybe crosspost to #ao3

Really the biggest hang up for Dreamwidth is how unfriendly it currently is for smart phone posting, I'm liking the other features as I'm looking through them.

Hi all
I read somewhere during the last week (birdapp or tumbler, don't remember) that someone using discord to contact AO3 writers and make them download some file (sort of virus) that will scrape their computer for passwords (discord and all else) and reset them, effectively stealing their accounts.
I don't know if it's 100% true, but I just got this comment on one of my fics (see screenshot).
Has anyone here received anything similar?
( I do not intend to do what the comment suggests).
