#AOE3 was a hidden gem if you ask me. A black sheep oftentimes considered to be in the shadows of its predecessor, #AOE2.
I still think aoe2 is objectively better, but aoe3 is still a lot of fun and definitely worth checking out!
I actually liked it more than #AOE4.

A lot more focus on unit commands and I shifted the basis from wasd to esdf to leverage more of the keyboard. After a four month or so break I'm about to start practicing before I start laddering up. I only have played ~11 ranked match, currently at 1075 ELO. Goal by July is 1600.

Somehow dragging my entire body up a wall with my arms is fine but gently moving a mouse around for a few hours a week is very bad. Bodies are weird.

Yes there's been a couple console launches, but they have been a limited treat.

124 followers · 181 posts · Server mastodon.socialFinally getting the hang of #aoe2 against hard AI. Moderate AI was too easy. Hard was too hard. AOE2 definition edition's handicap system is allowing me to increase the difficulty in a more granular way.
Main thing I've learned is I didn't have diverse enough of an army and wasn't replenishing them enough during big attacks!
